Evolving Kubernetes networking with the Gateway API | Kubernetes
https://kubernetes.io/blog/2021/04/22/evolving-kubernetes-networking-with-the-gateway-api/
The Ingress resource is one of the many Kubernetes success stories. It created a diverse ecosystem of Ingress controllers which were used across hundreds of thousands of clusters in a standardized and consistent way. This standardization helped users adopt Kubernetes. However, five years after the creation of Ingress, there are signs of fragmentation into different but strikingly similar CRDs and overloaded annotations. The same portability that made Ingress pervasive also limited its future.

Improving your monitoring setup by integrating Cloudflare’s analytics data
https://blog.cloudflare.com/improving-your-monitoring-setup-by-integrating-cloudflares-analytics-data-into-prometheus-and-grafana/
Here at Labyrinth Labs, we put great emphasis on monitoring. Having a working monitoring setup is a critical part of the work we do for our clients.
Cloudflare's Analytics dashboard provides a lot of useful information for debugging and analytics purposes for our customer Pixel Federation. However, it doesn’t automatically integrate with existing monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus, which our DevOps engineers use every day to monitor our infrastructure.

When I was a young child, one of my best friends was a turtle. Not a real turtle, although that would have been fun, but a virtual one. My turtle lived inside of an Apple II, an early 8-bit computer, at my elementary school. When I first met her, my turtle, she didn’t do much. […]

https://thenewstack.io/a-better-way-to-provision-kubernetes-using-terraform/
Despite Kubernetes' own declarative API, and the obvious benefits of maintaining a cluster's infrastructure and services from the same infrastructure as code repository, Terraform is far from the first choice to provision Kubernetes resources. Kubestack, the open-source Terraform framework I maintain, aims to provide the best developer experience for teams working with Terraform and Kubernetes.
